Center for Consciousness Knowledge
The Center for Consciousness Knowledge, Values University, LIMMIT, Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, is a partnership and cooperation between LIMMIT Lab and University of Values, Mafra. It is an interactive Laboratory/Museum/Institute and with biosensor technologies for teaching citizenship values and awareness study for children and adolescents.
The institute studies States and Traits of Consciousness applied to the community inner experience, inducting tacit knowledge. It is then a translational study Centre (from biophysics to neuroscience or from biomedical engineering to sociology). It involves an optimized multidisciplinary team that has one objective: create hard data on States and Traits of Consciousness using immersive technologies and a biomedical model analysis.
Resulting from study visits, protocols and interviews with those responsible (Dr. Eva Ndrio de Carvalho and Dr. Lourenço de Carvalho), an extension was created at the University of Values, Mafra, called “Center for the Study of Consciousness”. The collaboration protocol provides for the development of a Technological Research within the framework of the Project:
“Creation, development, maintenance and extension of mind-matter interaction activities, in the knowledge center of consciousness”.
