LIMMIT has been a place for welcoming people and research projects. Some researchers took an internship for periods of months, to monitor ongoing projects, finalize others who brought and used the space, and obtain consultancy.
Two psychologists, proposed by Profa Fátima Bortoletti, from UNIFESP, Brazil, Dras Larissa Andrade and Ana Zacari Brito, trained at LIMMIT, following the ongoing work, participating in various events in which LIMMIT was in the organization or in partnership. They stayed with us for two months, from October 2015 to December of the same year.
In 2017, from August to November, Dr. Leonardo Xavier, from the Federal University of Pernambuco, proposed by Prof. Aurino Lima Ferreira, within the scope of the Doctorate “sandwiche” (an expression that designates an internship at a foreign institution, related to the subject of the PhD), stayed with us for four months, from August to November. During this time he wrote and carried out the statistical analysis of his thesis work “Spirituality, humanization and childbirth: a study of mixed methods in the light of Ken Wilber's integral transpersonal perspective” and is preparing a scientific article on the theme of the thesis.The Thesis was defended in 2019 having obtained the degree of Doctor, by its University and the scientific article has already been accepted for publication.
In 2018, between April and July, Dr Francisco Xavier Marques did an internship at LIMMIT. Master's Degree in Psychopathology of Human Sexuality, degree obtained at the FMUL, now a PhD student, thus fulfills two of the objectives of the Doctoral Program in Psychology, at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville: the first, to carry out an internship with at least one month in an international Academic Institution, the second, that this period has at least 3 months to obtain a doctoral degree in Psychology with international mention.He actively participated in the scientific meetings for the preparation of Master's and Doctoral theses, as well as attending, as a guest of LIMMIT, the 12th Symposium of the BIAL Foundation, Behind and Beyond the Brain, enhancing the mind. Also, at the Fernando Pessoa University, in the city of Porto, at the invitation of the Director of LIMMIT, he attended a module of the Postgraduate Course in «Hypnosis and other states of altered consciousness» sponsored by LIMMIT. Also, as a result of her internship, she participated in the Consciousness Science mini-course integrated in the 3rd Year of the Medicine Course at the FMUL and participated in the last 4 modules of the IX Postgraduate Course on Improvement in Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis sponsored simultaneously by LIMMIT. During the internship, prepares a scientific article already accepted for publication (see) .
In the 2017-18 academic year, graduate Teresa Pinto will carry out her Master's thesis in Food Sciences at LIMMIT, defended at the FCT, of the UN, Costa da Caparica (see). For this, it uses LIMMIT material and facilities, namely computer and electroencephalographic equipment. During her stay at the Laboratory, he presents a poster and prepares an article, resulting from the material of his Master's thesis. He is currently preparing his PhD thesis at the same Faculty where he completed his master's degree, with the collaboration of LIMMIT.
