Davide D'Alimonte
The background of D. D'alimonte accounts for a sound expertise in data mining and machine learning methods. He graduated in Physics by the University of Torino, Italy in 1997, and completed a PhD at the University of Southampton, UK, in 2004. In 2003 he reached the Neural Computing Research Group of Aston University, UK, one the most influential team in Statistical Patter Recognition, becoming lecturer in 2005. From 2006 to 2007, D. D'alimonte has been working at the Earth Observation program of the Goddard Space Flight Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA, MD, USA. Recruited by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia of Portugal, in 2008 he became full member of Center for Artificial Intelligence CENTRIA, Faculty of Science and technology, New University of Lisbon. Since 2014, he is with the Center of Marine and Environmental Research of the University of Algarve, whereas maintaining his associate membership at CENTRIA. The publication record of D. D'Alimonte includes 25 papers in international peer-reviewed journals with over 700 citations. |
