Pedro Cruz

I have obtained the MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Instituto Superior das Ciências Egas Moniz where I first integrated a scientific research team conducing several experiments on drug delivery methods for poorly soluble drugs. Later on, I have joined the PhD program in Cancer Biology at University North Texas - Health Science Center. Starting off my first semester I joined a lab where our main goal was to develop a new drug delivery system to specifically target cancer cells using endogenous components of the human body (High density lipoproteins), aiming to increase therapeutic efficacy and significantly diminishing side effects. Other than this, I have conducted some side projects and tried to keep up with the literature in some aspects of stem cells and some subjects of neuroscience.
