Psychologist, Medical Anthropologist and expert in naturopathic medicine. She is founder member of the Unesco Chair “Health Anthropology, Biosphere and Healing systems” inside the University of Genoa (IT) and she is currently researcher by the Phytotherapy Centre in Tuscany named CERTIF (IT) with a project on Teaching Plants and States of Consciousness. She teaches Ethnomedicine and Medical Anthropology in the Integrative Medicine Master in the University of Florence. Research Interests are focused to understand the traditional healing systems processes connecting mind, body and spirit in different cultures with an interdisciplinary groups that involve physics, medical doctors and anthropologists. The basis of the research is to integrate old and different knowledge inside the health system. She continues doing her field research in the Amazon forest with the Ashanika group. |
